Convert Oil to Diesel

Yakutat Power

Yakutat Power in Alaska reported, after operating on REOS processed and blended fuel, that exhaust smoke was reduced while kilowatt generation per gallon of fuel increased from 14.7 to 15.3.
A REOS unit was installed at Yakutat Power on December 22, 1998 to address used oil storage and disposal issues. Within a three month period, all stored oils were converted into burnable fuel and consumed in their generator engines.

Two arctic fuel samples from the State of Alaska Division of Energy were submitted to Analysts Ins. Laboratories for lubricity tests in August 2001. Fuel samples were similar, displaying over 85% fuel lubricity gains.
The increased in fuel lubricity will result in far greater injection pump and injector life while also providing improved combustion.
Immediate savings are realized by reduced fuel purchases, while eliminating costs for record keeping, expensive disposal costs and environmental liabilities associated with the transfer and disposal of waste oils.

“in April, 1997 installation of a REOS System was completed at our McCoy/Cove Mine. To date, approximately 62,000 gallons of used oils have been blended into 3.1 million gallons of diesel fuel.”

The purchase of a REOS System = not having to ship out used oil from remote locations.
“Historically, 220,000 gallons/year of used oils have been shipped off site as controlled waste at an average cost of $.05/gal. After receiving necessary government agency approvals and constructing a permitted blending facility in 1995, appox. 80,000 gallons of used oils have been blended annually into blasting fuel.”  Click Here> To view complete report
